Tumble's Flight School
Watercolor of a small round teal dragon with orange wings and freckles, tongue out in concentration, wobbling through the air off a mossy cliff at dawn while a grey heron watches from a rock. Sea stacks rise from the water below.

Cliffside School for Dragons · lesson one

Tumble is a dragon.
Tumble is afraid of heights.

Every dragon has to learn sometime. Help a small, round, extremely brave-ish dragon flap, glide and breathe fire his way across the sea stacks to the far nest.

From the desk of Professor Wade

  1. Tap to flap. Short and often. Panicking is not a technique.
  2. Hold to glide. Wings out, fall slowly, look dignified. Gliding tires you out; rest between.
  3. Breathe fire at the brambles. They grow across the gaps and they will not move for you.
  4. Collect embers for more fire. Fly through the willow hoops for my approval, which is rare.
  5. Ride the updrafts. The swirly air. You'll know it when it lifts you.

Lesson one: the sea stacks

Tap or Space to flap, hold to glide, F or the flame button to breathe fire. Three bumps and Tumble needs a towel.

♥♥♥Embers 2Hoops 00%

Watercolor of a mountain training ground: upright willow hoops on posts, a striped windsock, hay bales for crash landings, a scorched practice target, a young dragon leaping through a hoop and a speckled teal egg in a straw nest.

Flappy, grown up

You know the tap-to-fly game. This one has more in its wings: gliding, fire, wind, a dragon who learns. Every lesson unlocks a new skill, and Tumble's confidence grows with every hoop. Fly badly and he gets nervous. Fly well and he starts showing off.
